Characteristics
:
In egg or oblong shape, sugar apple has an interested
name "Shih-Chia", which is Buddha's name,
because its scraggy fruit skin looks like Buddha's head.
Sugar apple has a fine-grained texture, very little
fiber and taste sweet, juicy and a bit sour with pineapple-like
fragrance. The seeds inside are not eatable, and fruits
are eatable until they become soften..
